Whether you’re traveling from nearby or further afield, reaching the Great National Ballykisteen Golf Hotel is easy and convenient. Located in County Tipperary, the convention is just a short drive from major towns and cities, with rail and bus links nearby.

By Car

The hotel is conveniently situated on the N24, just outside the town of Tipperary and approximately:

  • 1 hour from Limerick

  • 1 hour 15 minutes from Cork

  • 2 hours 15 minutes from Dublin

Parking is available onsite for all guests.

By Train

The Limerick Junction Train Station is just a 10-minute walk from the hotel. It is one of Ireland’s main rail hubs, with direct services to and from:

  • Dublin Heuston (approx. 2 hours)

  • Cork (approx. 1 hour)

  • Limerick (approx. 30 minutes)

Once at Limerick Junction, there is a fully paved footpath to the hotel or the hotel may be able to arrange a transfer on request.

By Bus

Bus Éireann and other private operators serve the Tipperary area, within walking distance of the Hotel or stops in Tipperary Town. From there, a local taxi or short transfer will bring you directly to our door.
