RPGs & Social Deduction

Role-playing games (RPGs) are collaborative storytelling games where players portray characters, make choices, and shape a shared story guided by a Game Master. While Social Deduction games are where players attempt to uncover each other’s hidden role or allegiance.

At DagdaCon, we’ll run a wide range of RPGs across the weekend. Below are the current game blurbs. This page is updated as new games are accepted; a full schedule will be published closer to the event.

A rag-tag group of adventurers have banded together to brave the darkness of this defiled sanctum. Their reasons for undertaking this foolhardy endeavour are each their own. The Shadowdark cares not why they have wandered into its hungry maw, only how they will sate its appetite with the snuffing of their now-short lives…

Mice and magic!

System: Mausritter

GM: Ben Doherty

Age Restriction: Family Friendly (Ages 8+)

Take up the sword and don the whiskers of a brave mouse adventurer in Mausritter, a rules-light fantasy adventure roleplaying game! From within a towering suit of armour, the Wizard reigns, with warrior roaches and the great Muted Bat under his thrall. His magic is wild and powerful. His failed spells have set books alight and cracked glass cases. He is cold and cruel and secretive, but mice journey from afar to buy his spells or to seek knowledge. These days the light from his workshop in the Helm is gleaming late into the night in green and ruby and gold, and the library mice are growing fearful. And so, they have turned to a band of heroes to knock the Wizard from his lofty perch and end his reign of arcane terror for good and for all

In Clonmel of Cthulu, players take the role of a group of inexperienced investigators of a Paranormal Detective Agency known as T.A.I.B.H.S.E. (Tactical Anomaly Investigation Bureau & Haunted Site Examiners).

The goal of T.A.I.B.H.S.E. is to examine these sightings, exploring the “paranormal hotspots” of Clonmel, and find a way to put an end to them (or perhaps prove that these sightings aren’t what they seem).

It's also known the flora developed hallucinogenic qualities easily exploited for valuable drugs. To some enterprising or desperate individuals this highly profitable venture is worth the risk, but it's not a place for a respectable crew of Delvers to go. Which is why it's so unsettling The Explorers Guild are sending you there.
